Vivian Long

From 2019-2021, I interned at Pacheco-Medina Dental Corp. for about 2 years as a dental assistant. During my time at the office, I received extensive hands-on experience assisting various procedures, performing front desk tasks, and learning the intricacies of running an office. Furthermore, I was encouraged and given opportunities to further my skills and knowledge, such as obtaining my radiology license and attending local dental club meetings/seminars. This experience gave me an inside look into my future career choice and helped reaffirm my desire to be a dentist.

As a current dental student attending Midwestern University, I find myself referring to the knowledge I picked up as a an intern, and then a dental assistant at Pacheco Medina Dental. My time with Dr. Pacheco and Dr. Medina was invaluable, and I highly recommend anyone interested in pursuing dentistry to consider gaining experience as a dental assistant.
