Dr. Pacheco graduated from the School of Dentistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1975. He continued his studies and received a Master’s Degree in Morphology and Basic Sciences in 1977 from the School of Medicine at the National Polytechnic Institute. He served as the dean of the Oral Pathology department at the School of Dentistry of the National School of Professional Studies UNAM from 1979 to 1985. He earned his DDS degree in California from the State Board Examination at Loma Linda University in 1990 .

Dr. Pacheco worked as an associate dentist from 1990 to 1993 when he and Dr. Leticia Medina started their own private practice in San Gabriel, California. Dr. Pacheco also completed a program in Cosmetic dentistry in 1996, and Endodontics in 1998 at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Pacheco and Dr. Medina opened their family dental practice in Santa Barbara in 1998, and have provided dental care to three generations of patients for 26 years.
